Young Colombian artist Diana Beltran Herrera creates truly amazing sculptures of bird species both real and imaginary using carefully selected, cut, and folded paper. Since beginning her project, the formally-trained industrial designer has seen it evolve into a very popular, more-or-less full-time undertaking. I do not think it is difficult to see why. Each creation is a fun, well-executed, and beautiful piece of papercraft. Do a little bit of birdwatching here, and then be sure to check out the artist’s site for more great creations.
