Originally from Madrid, photographer Daniel Beltrá now lives and works in Seattle. For his work on the Deepwater Horizon Gulf Oil Spill, the photographer was recognized as Wildlife Photographer of the Year in 2011. His ongoing traveling exhibit “Spill” continues to bring attention to the many negative effects of the massive environmental disaster by way of gorgeous, though saddening aerial photographs. Of course, there are many more beautiful and important photographs worth viewing over at the photographer’s site, so please do check them out.
